In a distant future where mega-corporations colonize and strip-mine entire planets, four mercenaries known as Vault Hunters arrive on Pandora, a lawless frontier world abandoned by the corporations that once exploited it. As the Vault Hunters collect the artifact fragments needed to unlock the sealed chamber, they learn the Vault can only be opened once every two hundred years, and the next opening is fast approaching.
