Halo Infinite Shows Off New 'SMG-Class' Weapon, Arriving Next Week

Cross-referenced with the SMGs from Halo 2, ODST & 5.

After a teaser earlier this week, the Halo Infinite team has now officially lifted the lid on the 'MA5K Avenger' in its latest livestream.

This new fully automatic rifle has a "commanding presence" when it comes to close-quarters combat in Halo Infinite multiplayer. It's an "SMG-class" weapon, with the team starting its creation process by first examining Halo 2's SMG and then cross-referencing it with the SMGs from Halo 3: ODST and Halo 5.
