There was a time when it seemed like Battlefront 2 was going to be the most poorly received video game ever made, and yet eight years later, it's still being played by a massive number of people to this day.

In fact, eight years since the release and five years since DICE and EA essentially gave up on it, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is absolutely exploding in popularity at the moment - apparently including on Xbox as well. Over on Steam, it's regularly hitting a peak player count of nearly 10k, while if you believe what some "sources" are saying on social media, it might have even hit a concurrent player count of over 160,000 in just 24 hours across all platforms.
