Ubisoft Releases Final Major Update For XDefiant, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Less than two months after insisting it wouldn't happen, Ubisoft recently announced that XDefiant is closing down next year - in fact, new users can't even download and play the game right now. However, the team at Ubisoft San Francisco still has one major update ready to go, and the patch is rolling out now across all platforms - including Xbox.

As our lead image suggests, XDefiant Season 3 contains an Assassin's Creed collaboration, with multiple new factions coming to the game; including one based on the company's famous historical franchise. It seems weird to put this update out now - but clearly, this content was locked and loaded before Ubisoft made the decision to pull the game in summer 2025.
