Warhammer 40K Team Cancels Space Marine 2 Beta To 'Entirely Focus' On September Launch

"We will not run a public online beta".

Since finally getting an Xbox release date for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, we've been excited to go hands-on with it ASAP, but it seems we're going to have to wait a little longer than expected. The teams behind the Space Marine sequel have cancelled the game's planned beta, which means we all have to wait for the full September launch to play it.

Posting on Steam, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment say they're now "entirely focused on optimization, polish and fixing remaining issues ahead of launch". Then, the teams go on to say "this means we will not run a public online beta, as it would take the development teams away from preparing for the full launch".
